We came to Russia not sure what to expect
Our two countries have been at odds with little mutual respect

The flight was long, seats were cramped
We lined up at immigration, passports were stamped

We saw fabulous paintings and works of art
The list is too long, not sure where to start

We loved Moscow’s beautiful & majestic boulevards
In contrast, stand the Golden Rings’ historical ramparts

Driving thru the cities of towns of Golden Ring
We heard the harmony of the past played out on a string

We were vowed by the “Chuurches” with their cupolas a-soar
But, soon we asked do we have to see one more?

So what’s our impression of Russia Now?
Russia is more than just the city of Moscow

Thanks to Sasha and Natalia, we had a lot of fun
Though out of their control, we could have used some more Sun.
