Life is too short to hold grudges
Life is too short and unpredictable
Let go of your anger and grudges
No one knows what tomorrow will bring
Instead of pulling apart, let us build bridges
No relationship is perfect or tension less,
since we human beings are imperfect
A pearl does not form without an irritant
A relationship without some stress is suspect
All relationships go through up and downs
Give and take makes a relationship to grow
Giving the benefit of doubt to the other person,
allows positive energy to flow
Malleability in a relationship makes it stronger
Letting go of grudges is not a sign of weakness
Keeping them bottled up is corroding
Discarding them is not a case of largesse
Taking the first step to mend a frayed relationship,
does not make you weak or negates your conscience
Rather, it shows your strength and self-conviction
It displays your maturity and self confidence
No one knows what tomorrow will bring
Covid-19 has proven life is too fickle
Without any warning, often the chi of life
slows from a stream to just a trickle
During lockdowns, by giving up physical touches
we hungered and longed for social connections
Many souls have died in haunting loneliness
Devoid of the presence of their loved ones
Ask people who have lost loved ones to
senseless killings and carnage
as to why they often forgive the attacker
they will say it frees them of rage
A long journey begins with a first step
A frayed relationship does not mend in a day
Take the first step, give it time
Be patient and watch the tension melt away.
Best wishes.
