We thank the Almighty for her blessings
and for making this Thanksgiving  one of a kind
Our nuclear family is now complete
The joy is indescribable, the feeling is divine

We thank you for giving us strength
to cope with times that are not always good
We must go through such experiences
So value of good times can be understood

We are thankful for the nice place we live in
and  for nature’s bounty in which we partake
We are thankful for good health of body and mind
and special friends for lifetimes keepsake

We are eternally thankful for being
able to share our good fortune
With those who are not as well off
From bad luck, no one is immune

We don’t take our good fortune for granted
We know we have to earn it everyday
Good luck and  fortune are quite transient
They can as easily go away any day

We ask for your grace almighty
May our family remain healthy,
full of love and friendship
May we never lose the sense of empathy

We know we are not perfect
We make our share of mistakes
We ask you to forgive us
for our mortality’s sake.
